1 Free full assessment of your outside space

You can call us from Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm, for enquiries. We’ll arrange to visit you at the earliest convenient time for you – normally within 48 hours. Our company director Richard Knight will visit you to carry out a full assessment. It’s completely free, and he’ll take the time to talk to you about what you want and how we can achieve it within your budget.

Richard will do a survey of your outside space, and he’ll use the measurements to draw a sketch of what we can create, suggesting the best design solutions and materials for the job. He’ll talk you through the whole project, and will normally be able to give you a guideline price there and then. There’s no pressure to say yes, and we won’t accept a job that same day. We understand that it’s a big decision to make, so Richard will always ask you to sleep on it.

2 Detailed written quotation within 48 hours

Once Richard has visited you and carried out a full assessment of the site, we will have a written quotation sent to you within 48 hours. The quotation will clearly state the method we’ll use to carry out the work, the materials we’ll be using, and the timescale of the project. It will also explain our guarantee and our unique aftercare service.

Our quotations are valid for 90 days. Once you’ve accepted a quotation and agreed for us to go ahead with the work, the price won’t change. If you choose not to go ahead, we won’t hassle you or charge you for anything.

If you aren’t sure what products you want to use, we can provide you with brochures and examples of our previous work. You can also visit one of our key suppliers, where we have a display area of our most popular products. You can talk to the sales assistants, or you can arrange to meet Richard there to find out how different materials could work on your site. We can reassess your quotation based on the price of the product you want.

3 Arranging a date to carry out the work

Before we book a date to start work, Richard will talk you through the process again to make sure that you’re completely happy with everything we’ve planned. We will arrange to start work as soon as possible, working around your requirements.

If you change your mind about what you want before we start work, you can call us and we’ll rework your plans. We would rather take the time to make sure we create something you’ll love than go ahead with a project you aren’t entirely sure of.

4 Completing the work

Our team will arrive at the agreed date and time, ready to start work. They will be easy to identify, in Knights Paving & Landscaping uniforms and sign written vehicles. All of our craftsmen are employed by Knights Paving & Landscaping Ltd; we don’t use subcontracted labour.

When we are carrying out the work on your property, our number one priority is the welfare of our customers and our staff. We have strict health and safety policies and complete method statements on every job before we start work. We take all necessary steps to minimise disruption and help you live as normally as possible. We guarantee that you will have pedestrian access to your property, and where possible, we will make sure you can access your property by vehicle. Our usual working day is 7.30am to 4.30pm, but we can work around your needs. We never work on more than one project at once, which means that we complete the work quickly and efficiently, and give your site our full attention.

When the work is completed, we will show you around the whole site, drawing your attention to every detail. If you find something you aren’t satisfied with, we’ll fix it there and then. Our team won’t leave the site until the job is done and our customer is happy.

5 Payment

We’re flexible with our payment options. We won’t ask you for a deposit for any of the work we carry out; we’ll either take payment on completion or in pre-agreed stage payments. We’ll give you a full invoice and a written guarantee on the same day that the work is completed, explaining our guarantee and our aftercare service.
